A friend’s daughter got married and especially requested blue roses. My background in floral design mixed with my theatrical education means that I love problem solving (problem being there really is no such thing as blue roses!). We went with a few dusty blue silk ranunculus to make the bride’s bouquet pop with the blue. We also incorporated blue misty, dusty miller and seeded eucalyptus… are you catching the theme here? To bring a warm summer vibe, I added freshly cut variegated Hosta leaves and a few Hosta blooms… I love the dramatic look it brought to these calm and breezy designs.
